Steamboat Bill's in the News: KPLC on the Calcasieu River Bridge Plan

KPLC 7 News featured Steamboat Bill's in its July 29, 2026 report on the new Calcasieu River Bridge and the lakefront plan.

The story looks at how the bridge project will move Steamboat Bill's from the Lakeshore Drive spot where we have served Lake Charles for more than 40 years. It also covers the concerns our owner, Kathy Vidrine, and city leaders raised about how customers will reach the lakefront once the new service roads and roundabout are built.
